Gobillard Champagne, Hautvillers
The family champagne house of JM Gobillard et Fils cultivates approximately 25 hectares of vines in the Premier Cru vineyard of Hautvillers. Passion, dynamic and know-how characterise this growing business, both in the vineyard and in the commerce, with each stage carefully and vigorously controlled, while fully respecting the Champagne tradition.
In the heart of Champagne, near Epernay, the magnificent village of Hautvillers dominates its vineyards. Around 1861, Dom Perignon, then cellarmaster in the Benedictine abbey of Hautvillers, invented champagne as we know it today. It is thanks to this important event that Hautvillers became the most renowned village in the region.
The geographical location of the vineyards of the JM Gobillard & Fils produces 3 Champagne grape varieties:
- Pinot Black
- Pinot Meunier
