The World’s best limoncello didn’t happen by chance. Sovrano Limoncello came about by the perfect symbiosis of a very passionate Italian artisan from Sicily who saw the opportunity of growing some of the worlds best lemons and oranges in the pristine natural environment of Kerikeri in New Zealand. The result is now history as Sovrano Limoncello has taken the world by storm by winning an extraordinary number of Gold Medals and World titles.

Sovrano is now arguably the purest and most unique limoncello ever made. Combine this with elegance, simplicity  of pure flavour and a depth of taste that lingers forever and  you have an exceptional quality product beyond compare. Sovrano limoncello is of course perfect on its own but it is also  versatile. The Beginning…

Andrea & Marzia were born in Northern Italy, Andrea’s family is of Sicilian origin, and Marzia’s family origins are from Mantova. They both emigrated to New Zealand in 2007 and set in the magical Kerikeri.

Marzia’s family has been in the wine making business for generations. Andrea’s family has a tradition in Liqueurs. Having a family experience and having tasted many hundreds of different Limoncello in their life, Andrea & Marzia know the importance of using fresh and perfect ingredients.

The secret of Limoncello, must be in the persistent but not pungent and pleasant aftertaste.

After they had found the best lemons in Bay of Islands, and the best pure alcohol produced in New Zealand, Andrea & Marzia in the early 2009 began to produce the best and purest Sovrano Limoncello, and from the very beginning it was a success throughout New Zealand, with great results, and growing every day.

As one of the district’s most historic and picturesque properties, Gooree Park today has an enviable reputation as one of the country’s leading thoroughbred breeding grounds and with the largest vineyard in the Mudgee region, more recently is gaining attention turning our passion for excellence to crafting the thoroughbred of wines.











Much excitement has surrounded the 2013 vintage, as for the first time since planting Gooree Park have processed a full range of wines set for release in the coming years.

The everyday range “Gooree Park” includes Sauvignon Blanc, Verdelho, Chardonnay, Rose, Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, a Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc and our recently released Pinot Noir.

The premium range – always named after famous Gooree racehorses – includes Crowned Glory Chardonnay, Crowned Glory Shiraz, Desert War Shiraz and Don Eduardo Cabernet Sauvignon.
